Where is the club located:

1716 Margaret Ct.

McHenry, IL 60051

How much will my card be charged if I book online?

If you purchase a pay now plan, that is the amount that will be charged, less the 10% discount being offered until December 1.  If you purchase a monthly plan, the mount of the charge will be the monthly amount, less the 10% discount.

Isn’t there an enrollment fee, or application fee?  There always seems to be some sort of sign up fee at fitness clubs, correct?

No, there isn’t.  I don’t believe in that.  There are no additional fees or hidden fees.  If you cancel your membership at some point we charge a $20 processing fee to cover costs.  I believe these sign up fees that most clubs charge are put in place to make a club’s monthly fee appear less than it actually is.  For example, if a

club charges $120 to sign up, that’s $10 a month if you stay a year, or $20 per month if you stay 6 months.

When is the club opening exactly?  As of this writing (Nov 18) we are targeting Dec 5 for classes, and Dec 12 for sessions.  As of now, drywall is up, so it will be very soon now.

For the monthly pay plans, what date of the month is the charge processed?  The 1st of the month.

Will the first month be pro-rated since you don’t open until Dec 5?  Correct.  Any plan you sign up for will be pro-rated based on when the first class starts, or if you sign up for sessions, when the first session starts.

Why is the Pole membership the only one that has a 2 month minimum?  Because through experience I have found a lot of ladies are looking to just know the basics, then buy a pole and practice at home.

Does The Underground sell pole?  Yes.

How much do they run?  The cost depends on the type you want.  Usually about $350 or so.

Do the poles at the underground spin?  Yes, they are all spinning poles.

How many poles are there in the studio?  12 in the beginning, ultimately 15.

Will there be a pro shop at The Underground?  Definitely.  There will be a lot of fun things in the pro shop, and reasonably priced for our members.

Is the online registration system secure?  Yes, the system uses encryption and a secure server.

Will I receive something when I register to become a member online?  Yes, you’ll receive an email acknowledgment immediately. You’ll also receive an e-confirmation no later than the next business day after your registration is successfully processed.

What is Aerial Fitness?  There is a description and video for this session.  To view it, click on the tab at the top that says “class & session descriptions.

What if we sign up, and then we need to cancel?  You’re obligated to pay for the plan you sign up for, even if you can’t use it.  This is very standard in the fitness industry.

Do class/session times ever change?  Sure.  The schedule is always a work in progress.  It’s always evolving and changing, that’s the one constant about it.  I’m always looking for new and exciting classes to add.  Like the aerial silks, I’m very excited to be bringing this on in time.  It’s important that a fitness club that specializes in classes/sessions stays on the leading edge of what’s new and upcoming.  We will always keep things exciting.  Having fun while getting or staying in shape is the key I feel.

Isn’t there some sort of contract or legal document we have to sign?  Yes.  If you go to book online, you will be asked to click to agree.  What you are agreeing to is whatever you signed up for, plus the “legaleese” located below.  If you book by phone, yes you would need to sign the same type of thing in writing instead.

How do I sign if I book by phone and you aren’t open yet?   We’re open.  We’re working out of a temporary facility right now at “A Child’s Place” day care center off of 120 in McHenry.

If you have questions that were not covered here, please feel free to email or call me.   Thanks for reading and hope to have you with us soon!
