Reactivate Quintana Roo - Cancun Economy

CANCÚN, Quintana Roo- According to the plan to “Reactivate Quintana Roo”, Quintana Roo Governor Carlos Joaquín González sent a message on his social networks, explaining that starting on June 8, the state traffic light will be managed by two different regions: a south zone and a north zone.

He announced that the southern zone is in red, while the northern zone starts in orange tomorrow Monday.

Secretary of State Health, Alejandra Aguirre, commented that this division by regions is because each area presents a different contagion level. She also commented that this is also due to the hospital availability that each region of Quintana Roo presents.

South Zone:

Carlos Joaquín together with Dr. Alejandra Aguirre and Carlos Orvañanos, official spokesperson for the Plan Reactivamos Quintana Roo, reported on what this strategy consists of.

Carlos Orvañanos, official spokesperson for this plan commented that the essential activities include: Groceries, greengrocers, water purifiers, fishing and agriculture, laundries, construction, banks and financial institutions.

Every Thursday the traffic light will be updated in Quintana Roo

Governor Carlos Joaquín stressed the importance of respecting sanitary measures. He pointed out that every Thursday evening a state traffic light update will be taking place according to the cases of COVID-19 that are asked in Quintana Roo.
