What about the bugs in Cancun?

Just like in Florida, Cancun has a very tiny bug called "no-see-ums". They are a nuisance, especially on the beach and near the Nichupte Lagoon. Click Here for more about this pest. These bugs are week fliers and cannot reach our outdoor balconies so you are safe to enjoy your time outside up there. I have found that the very best insect repellent for these little guys is called BUGG and you can purchase it before you go to Cancun at Amazon. Click here for the link.
Ants or sand flies live on the beach. We recommend that you use the outdoor showers located at the stairs from the beach to wash off your feet before entering the condos. This will help eliminate any possibility of these little guys sticking with you from the beach and then biting you while you sleep.
If you find out too late that you have been bitten by any of these unwanted guests, one doctor recommends a product called "Pomada de la Campana" to relieve your irritation. You can find it at the Soriana and the Chedraui pharmacy or bring it with you from the United States it is available from Amazon at this link in Mexico.
