Óleo Cancun Resort Website: More Questions for Yalmakan Owners

So today, after looking closer at the website it raised even more questions about the hotel's real name and its branding also about their management oversight into the details.

I have been keeping my eye on the Óleo website since June 2026. It caught my attention because of its attractive presentation. It is nice and I like it; I just wish that our resort still looked like the images they use on the website.
So today, after looking closer at the website it raised even more questions about the real hotel's name and branding and their management oversight into details.

Which Hotel Name Is Being Used?
During my review, the website was presented as Óleo Cancun Resort, while the main logo was labeled Óleo Hotels.
On the About page, Óleo Cancún is followed by the descriptor Óleo Cancún Beachfront Resort. Elsewhere on that page, the property is called Óleo Beach Resort and Óleo Cancun and Óleo Cancún Playa.
Meanwhile, Óleo Cancún Resort is displayed on the Contact page.

Some differences may be intended as shortened names or descriptive wording.
One consistent property name, supported by a clear management explanation, would make everything easier to understand. I am still waiting for Yalmakan to make it formal with the owners.
What the Lobby Roof Reveals
While watching the homepage video it also caused me to wonder and ask another separate question.
In the footage I reviewed, the distinctive, acorn-shaped lobby roof is shown in white. As of June of 2026, that roof is brown.
That detail indicates older footage is being used, rather than a newly filmed view of the current roof.
Older promotional footage can still contain useful views of a property. However, it should not be mistaken for confirmation of today's appearance.
For owners familiar with the building, the difference is immediately recognizable.
So, what are they trying to pull off here?
How Is DCHotels Connected?
Distinctive Concept Hotels is credited in the website footer alongside noting its copyright of the word Óleo. The reservations email uses the dchotels.mx domain.
Separately, DCHotels was identified as the hotel's new exclusive manager in a June 23, 2026, report. The management change was reported as effective June 1, 2026. Read the Aero News report. But it still has not been reported by our administrators.
